Richard Myers was born in 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri.
In 1965, he graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exact Sciences. He continued his education in various military institutions.
Military Career
Myers served in the United States Air Force (USAF) as a fighter pilot, accumulating over 4,000 hours of flight time on various aircraft.
