Moshe Kahlon (Hebrew: משה כחלון; born 19 November ) is a retired Israeli politician. Between and he served as a member of the Knesset for Likud, and as Minister of Communications and Minister of Welfare & Social Services.

After taking a break from politics, he founded the Kulanu party in ,[1][2] and returned to the Knesset the following year. In , he was appointed Minister of Finance in the Netanyahu IV cabinet. On 12 January , Kahlon announced that he would be retiring from politics.[3]

He is known for championing socioeconomic issues like the eradication of poverty and income inequality.[4]

Early life

Moshe Kahlon was born in the Givat Olga neighborhood of Hadera.
